Jacking points are areas beneath a car where a jack can safely make contact and then hold position. These areas need to be steady, firm, and robust, as the jack will be pushing against them until the car is lifted. You can find them on some vehicles near the front & rear wheel, the rear differential, front & rear cross members.
A lug nut threads onto a wheel stud, which is seated semi-permanently in the wheel hub. With a lug bolt, a threaded stem is affixed to a tapered head. Think of it as a lug nut permanently attached to a wheel stud that screws directly into the hub.
Auto mechanics typically use this tool to loosen and tighten tire lug nuts. The output shaft of the impact wrench is square. They come in a variety of sizes, the most popular being the 1/2" square
