Winter Tip List

  • Stay alert, slow down, and stay in control
  • Clear snow and ice
  • Have your tires checked
  • Wear Comfortable Clothing
  • Check weather and road conditions before heading out.
  • If you experience car trouble, stay in your vehicle to avoid personal injury.
  • Once in a skid, steer in the direction of the skid. To do this, look where you want your vehicle to go and steer toward that spot. Be careful not to oversteer.
  • At no time should a vehicle pass a snow plow. This could result in a severe, even fatal, collision
  • Never turn on a car covered in snow. Always clear the tail pipe to prevent carbon dioxide poisoning
  • If you get stuck or stranded, don’t panic. Stay in your vehicle for safety and warmth. Wait for help to arrive. If you are in an area with cell phone service and have a cell phone, call for help.

Winter Tires From Behind The Counter

Installing winter tires will improve traction, handling & braking. All season tires do not handle as good as winter tires in colder temperatures. Even here on Long Island we see winter tires out performing all season tires on our own personal, family and friends vehicles.
